New Year, Know Mind - An Intro to Meditation

We want to start the year out fresh, but always seem to find ourselves bogged down by our old habits. But with just a few minutes of meditation each day, we can begin to lessen the power of negative habitual tendencies and reveal a sense of spaciousness within which our new positive habits can flourish.

What better skill to learn on the first day of a new year?

In this one-hour online class, Lama Mitchell and Lama Adam will share a secular presentation of the basic meditaiton called "shamata", or calm-abiding meditation. Though this particular meditation and your hosts are connected with the authentic lineage of the Buddha, one needn't be a Buddhist to practice it. In fact, the only thing we ask you to believe is that you have a potential you have yet to unlock.

So, go ahead and sleep in after your New Year's Eve. No need to change out of those comfy pants. We don't even care if you turn your camera on or not. But do join us for this opportunity to learn the one skill that can improve all others: meditation.
